Dosage Info
The Nutri-Cal formula is easy to dose and administer. Simply add the recommended daily dose under the nose or to the paws for your cat to lick off. Another method is to squeeze some of the gel onto a small spoon for them to lick off.
For my cat Motor, I like to mix it into his bowl filled with his favorite wet food.
NOTE: Keep in mind that as cats age, especially those with CKD, their stomachs may become more sensitive to things like supplements. Some people have reported that Nutri-Cal made their cats vomit on occasion.
Be advised that Nutri-Cal is rich in fats and oils, and fat naturally slows stomach emptying, especially in cats with sluggish digestion. If you're force feeding when using Nutri-Cal, put 4-5 hours between feedings to give your cat's stomach time to digest their food. If not, they may vomit. If this happens, either discontinue its use or reduce the dose.
